About the event
The NSW Active MedTech Community normally meets at Venture Cafe Sydney face-to-face once a quarter but this has been disrupted by the Covid-19 crisis. Instead, we will have the same session online, at the earlier time of 4:00pm.
For this session, we are working with Venture Cafe to run a MedTech Hypothetical, where we brainstorm what it would take to develop emergency medical equipment from scratch in just a few months.
This is a very real scenario being played out as we speak among governments around the world. Countries and even states are no longer able to import equipment and are looking to local companies to rapidly develop medical devices such as ventilators and the like.
In this interactive session, Venture Cafe will invite MedTech entrepreneurs to offer solutions to technology challenges addressing the Covid-19 crisis. The audience will be asked to contribute ideas and in the process, learn how to develop their own medical device, post-Covid-19.
